Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn…

Went a little sentimental these few days by watching some classic films. Cinema Paradiso was one of them. Quite like the soundtrack especially the “Love Theme” which was composed by Ennio Morricone who also composed soundtrack from the famous classic, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Here’s a recording of him conducting the orchestra playing the love theme from Cinema Paradiso.

Also watched the 1939’s Gone With The Wind. Quite frankly, its a bit boring with all the romantic parts and talking but I really like the last part when Scarlett was pleading to Rhett who was leaving to which he answers, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.” The quote became the number one movie line by the American Institute. Quite frankly, I could see why.

Finally, the last classic movie I watched is the 1966, The Good The Bad and The Ugly. It really interesting coz it’s a film about the good old western american cowboys. However it was directed by the italian director, Sergio Leone and was filmed in Spain. Quite out of the way eh? I think this is one of the best classic ever made and everyone should watch it.

I may not be a movie aficionado, but I feel that all these classic are not boring afterall. There might not be much action or that their special effect are quite rudimentary but each of the scene has meaning and depth. The focused look of the actor brings out the suspense during the gun battle. The sweeping landscape and scenery tells a story. Today’s movies are marred by so may actions at any single one time, too much special effect and shallow characters so much so that the objective of going to the cinema is just to look at the advancement of technology and not what the writer is trying to convey *cough*2012*cough*Star Wars: Phantom Menace*cough*. Directors should cut back on the special effect and concentrate more resources on the story telling and the characters.

Night Photography

Went for some night photography experiments with Audi, Bruce and Fadzly all around Singapore this earlier this month. Audi actually wanted to shoot some army clips for his trailer but couldn’t secure the permit in time. So since we booked lenses and cameras already, might as well do some night photography since we never done it before at this scale.

First place we went was the Old Seletar Camp. To what I see, it’s a old british camp filled with colonial houses that’s been occupied with expats and some of them abandoned. Now I know where it is. Our objective there is to do some light painting like this one below.

Yes, we *koop* picnic lanterns and field chairs from store. HAHAHA~ It was seriously dark and only a few lamposts located here and there. We walked a by a car, still had it’s engines running, windscreen misted with glowing red lights inside. Ooo, naughty naughty..

We in the end took loads of pictures of ourselves. You can see for yourselves later as we move on.

Sadly, Audi chickened out coz he said the house is very scary. “Got 2 stories! What if we climb up the stairs, then look up got see something how?!”

And so we walked around the compound trying to look for nice place to shoot.

I actually rented a few lens and the Canon 7D apart from my 40D. The 7D is awesome man! I like how the shutter makes the sound which is so solid compared to my 40D. Also I rented the 50mm F/1.2L prime lens which is awesome. The depth of field is so shallow, everything directly behind the focused object is a blur like this one below!

We then went to Matilda’s House at Punggol. This house, located right in the middle of a field is rumoured to be haunted. They say people died while trying to demolish it eventhough the buildings around it is gone. But I think it’s rubbish lah. Most probably it belongs to our neighbouring country’s and they don’t want to do anything about it. A good example would be the almost defunct Tanjong Pagar railway station. So oldd! Okay here’s a picture of Matilda’s House from Google Earth.

Halfway through, we stopped by the road to look for directions coz apparently we got lost. No, Audi failed his NAVEX exercise. HAHA~ THEN! Suddenly 2 traffic policeman in their motorcycles stopped beside us. They demanded for my diving license. I guess I look too young to drive eh lol! Then one of them asked me to step out! My heart was beating so fast lah!

“What are you doing here Mr Ahmad?” (WTF?! I hate people calling me AHMAD~)
“Uhh oh, we’re lost and looking for directions” (Pointing at Audi who was looking at Maps in his iPhone.)
“Where are you going?” (Why? Does it matter to you? Want to tag along with us is it?)
“We are going to Marina Country Club.” (Actually this is fake coz I didn’t want them to know where we going and luckily I saw it in the Maps earlier. loL!)
“Look for directions somewhere else this is not a good place to be.”

Luckily, he handed back my driving license. Went back to the car and drove off. Fadzly and I was shaking lah coz we know it was the Tiger Squad. They are the more stricter TPs. You can distinguish them from normal TPs coz they’re wearing dark blue uniform compared to the normal white ones. Bruce felt nothing coz he thought it was the AETOS people and Audi couldn’t care less at all.

We finally reached! And so we walked in. The field is filled with overgrown and thick trees. Now it’s Fadzly’s and my turn to chicken out. It was damn scary and there were no lights or anyhting at all. Somemore, we could hear mad dogs fighting very near us. And did I mentioned it was scary? REALLYY SCARY.

So we stopped halfway at a clearing to take pictures of the house with the surrounding.

Took a pic of the moon with the 70-200mm I rented. Niceee.

Audi took this. He did it with long shutter, went infront of the trees and bushes and started flashing around the place. I was like OMGGG… What if he’s flashing at the trees and then suddenly SOMETHING appear how?! Fortunately nothing came out to say HELLo and the picture looks great!

Our final location was even crazier. Remember the japanese hut I went with Fadzly during the loong trekk at Macritchie? Yeah we went there. Before that, we had to drive through Rifle Range road which was not lighted up at all. It was soo dark, I had to turn on the high beam. As we look behind, it was total darkness with occasional red glow from the car when I press on the brakes. Now the objective was to take time lapse of sunrise. Sunrise coupled with the nice scenery of the surrounding would give a nice time lapse… In theory.

We stopped at the end of the way. There was a camp/complex owned by ST which was heavily guarded by the police. Not by AETOS or Cisco but by the Police itself. Fishy. We then trekked like 45mins through the darkness of the jungle to get to the place. I tell you, if without the experience from the army, It would have been impossible and we wouldn’t dare at all to go for it. It was total darkness. The only assuring light was from the picnic lantern Audi was holding which lighted up the surrounding for a few metres only, my blue lightstick which was totally useless and Bruce’s handphone which had LED torchlight. Occasionally, I swear I can hear footsteps of.. maybe animals around us. Bruce later said it was only falling leaves but it was too consistent to be falling leaves and broken twigs.

Finally we reached the place alive and well and set up base at the wooden hut that looked across the japanese hut.

Setting up the intervalometer for the time lapse shoot. We had one chance for this time lapse and so we checked and checked to make sure everything was alright.

Did some long exposure shoot and some flash painting.

Yeah this is what I mean by him going everywhere flashing around.

Yerp and some rudimentary light painting.

Sunrise. Time lapse shoot started.

When dawn came, we were shocked. The Japanese Hut got a new coat of painting! This wasn’t the case when I went there last time!?

Last time.

As the sun rises, we went across the river. Yeah luckily we went with our boots.

Something’s strange about the Hut itself. Not only it’s been given a new coat, but the door is been locked by a new heavy duty padlock. Strange.

Tip-toed to look inside. It went weirder. There’s just this box/cabinet/locker only in the hut! Strange. Is there a key? a switch? What happens if we open it? Switch to sink singapore? So many questions. Maybe we have a Singapore type of NATIONAL TREASURE ya’kno. lol! Strange lah this place with a complex in the middle of nowhere then now inside this hut.

Once we’re done, we packed up and trek back to the car.

Oh yeah we side tracked a little and did a quick mock up of what our film should look like. lol!

Sun rays penetrating through the vegetation. Still very lucky to see this in Singapore.

Well, there were quite a few failures for this expedition but also we learned quite a lot from it. More in-depth planning is needed as opposed to last minute one. Nevertheless, we had much fun, experience and thrill. loL!

Woots! Don’t we look like a boyband? lol!

Consumed by hate, driven by rage…

HAHAHA~ I can’t believe it! It’s been a month pluss since I’ve updated! So loong until my cBox expired alreadyy lah..

Okay let’s wind up what happened these last months.

Went for a little cohesion with the Stagmont Guardroom alumnis at Cameroon Restaurant. All planned out by Bruce who just returned back from his trip to Amsterdam for some BONG~

Mckenzie Road is an interesting place. It has that nostalgic feeling of yesteryear with old buildings like the Rex cinema!

The food there is sumptuous. Their Chicken rice is awesome along with other dishes that compliments it. What’s more it’s quite affordable.

Was quite surprised to see lots of people came even like Ridhwan who was like 5 years before I came to Stagmont coming! The day turns out to be very worthwhile as we exchange our experience in Stagmont. Interestingly, our topic always revolves around our good old CSM which we lovingly named him Pakcik~ What you doing Bruce? I know your belly is very prosperous but no need to show off leh.. loL!

Fadzly’s gay Nikon camera *quote from Audi* loL!

Went to the museum with Micah and Lih Kang for the Egyptian exhibition “Quest for Immortality” It’s an interesting exhibition that showcases the relics from the ancient Egypt. The main exhibit under the limelight is the 2 mummies.

Imagine our writing system didn’t evolve and we’re still stuck with hieroglyphs. I can see it coming… Ms Soh complaining on our handwriting, “why is your pelican so ugly?!” We have to be good in our art man to get our essays done! 600 character essay!

It’s floating!!

The first telephone… HALLO HALLO?!
Jokes aside, this tomb stele looks gorgeous after thousands of years. It’s made from limestone that’s been etched and then painted. Amazing.

The painting on the cartonnage still looks vibrant.

Ahh the main attraction. The still preserved mummy. Actually there are 3 bodies in the mummy the x-ray at the top shows the female adult and 2 stillborn foetuses in one mummified  cartonnage.

The famous canopic jars! In ancient days before the bodies were mummified, it’s organs were removed, except the heart, and then placed in these individual canopic jars. The brains were removed through the nose and then placed in there. The heart is remained as they believe it’ll be used in the afterlife to weight your deeds you’ve done on earth.

Everybody should go to this exhibition. If you are a student, just flash your student card and you’ll get ticket for free~ NSF and senior citizen gets in for half the price. If you have certain credit cards, you’ll get discount too~ So what you’re waiting for? Go go go! Exhibition ends on 4th April.. 8D

Here’s my all time famous lens! The 10-22mm USM~ With a focal length of 10mm, you can get 107° angle of view out of the 180°. This way, you could fill up more in your frame without having to step back. This baby costs like $1100 which is like.. WOW?!

Rented the 10-22 (If I were to rent it again, might as well I buy it right loL!) to KL with my cousins. Took some beautiful pictures with it along with my Sigma 17-70mm.

Petaling Street.

The Mines.

Taken from KL Tower. It’s actually 3 images merged together through HDR to create a wider dynamic range.

Taken with the Panasonic FZ50. It’s still good! Oh yeah I sent the FZ50 for repairs coz the synthetic leather is peeling off on the front and the back of the body. Total cost including service charge is $140~ Although some of you think it’s expensive, I’d say it’s still worth it. To get something of the same pedigree as the FZ50 costs much more. What’s more the FZ50 is still up to date with 10 megapixel sensor and 12x zoom. Hell my DSLR is also 10 megapixel. Plus it looks professional which makes it look cool. loL!

Was very lucky to capture the Green Flash!

The notorious piranhas. They look harmless now but try placing a duck inside. It’ll be gone within minutes. Probably it’ll takeout the guy’s hand too.. loL!

This fish really got a funny expression. Take a look at his friend at the back? loL!

The Tiger Sand Shark gliding across the tank like gangsters.

Nemo~!

Oh well it’s 2010 already and it’s time to ORD! Approximately 27 working days more without counting offs, leaves and MCs~ Can’t wait to ORD and going full force in my career and studies. Been in the army for too long already.

Got a couple of resolution for this year already but then shit happens you know and I don’t think I want to rant about it here so yeah.. Feck~ I guess I’m just gonna concentrate on my upcoming studies and do my best in my career for this year. Simple. No disturbance and all. I still haven’t finish choosing finish pieces for my repertoire!

And wtf? I still got to do guard2IC duty for eve of chinese new year. I did it last year already leh, give me a break man! Going to ORD already lah! $&#%

Okay that’s about it. Tune in next week~!

EF 50mm F1.8

Yes I did bought the 50mm prime lens a month or so back. Was really excited coz it was dirt cheap in the world of lens. At $130, you can’t get any cheaper unless you want your lens to be made from plastic.

Bought SteinZeiser UV filter for $15. So in total I spent $145 for this lens. Unlike zoom lens, Prime lens has a fixed focal length. That means you can’t zoom in or out. However Prime lens has superior optical quality. This is because lens maker only has to focus on one focal length rather than variable focal length. With lesser moving parts, lesser glass, they don’t suffer problems like chromatic aberration. Also prime lens has a huge aperture ranging from 2.8 to insanely 0.95! This is good if you’re shooting in dim lighting or want a really shallow depth of field.

Took out the prime for some informal shooting.

Accident along Tampines Ave 10. Was in the taxi on the way to the studio. Quickly whipped out my camera.

Went to my grand aunt’s birthday party bash with the camera. Somehow it shows it’s advantage there. However the focusing motor is really slow and getting the camera to focus is agonizing compared to having my Sigma on the camera.

Drunk loL!

Kitty here decided to join the party~

However I sold the lens after a week or using. Why? The build quality. It’s le horrible. The outer shell is made out of cheap quality plastic which makes it really flimsy and light. Not the kind of the convenient light but the cheap kind of light you know. The autofocus is been done by a micro motor which is really loud. Like buzzing loud that annoys you. And when it can’t find focus, it’ll rotate aimlessly giving the continuous buzzing sound. Manual focus ring feels dead. No dampening and the least accurate focusing ring I’ve tried. When auto-focus reaches the end of rotation, you can hear a loud *thud* before turning the other way.

And so I sold the lens for $130 with the UV filter included.

The lens produces good quality image. But it’s the cheapness in material used puts most people off whom I’ve discussed with. Most of them sold it off and went to the bigger brother, the 50mm F1.4 USM. It’s much more solid than the 1.8. It’s powered by an USM (Ultrasonic Motor~) so autofocus is silent and uber fast. Can’t wait to get my hands on that prime man. The only disadvantage is the price. $530~ I’d rather save a little more and get my other lens that I’ve been wanting. The 10-22mm ultrawide lens. How wide? This ad will tell you how.

Hidayah finished blobbing already? blobbidy blibbidy blob blob~ loL!

Kedah part 2

Dec 12 2009

Had a spanking good time celebrating Hari Raya Haji at Kedah. The kampong spirit and atmosphere. It was great!

Learning from previous trip, never take bus there. It’s like a 10 hour ride in the bus. So what we did was taking flight from KL to Kedah. The only popular airline that goes there was Firefly.

Yerp it’s a propeller plane. A budget airline by Malaysian Airlines. You had no idea how much I was praying before getting on the plane. When it goes on full thrust when taking of, the whole thing feels like falling apart. Nonetheless we landed safely.

Suprisingly the airport is quite nice and not that non-aircon place that you stereotyped people were thinking of.

See, nice right?

The flight was only an hour long and before noon, we were already at my uncle’s house. Spent the whole day preparing for Hari Raya like sleeping making ketupats and lemang. We also explored around the kampong. I brought along the 10-22mm with my 40D which was a great companion.

We climbed up this hill which was very steep. My Adidas shoe was badly damaged by the uneven ground and steep gradient.

Finally at the top, we met with a huge water tank which stores water for the village.

And of course a great view of the surrounding vicinity.

Fauzi mingling around with the village girls.. *ahem!*

Cracking open  coconut.

Uncle Jai telling how useful the parts of the coconut. It’s like there are uses for even the husks.

Hari Raya Haji!~

On the day itself we dress up in our Baju Kurungs, went to the mosque for morning prayers. However the korban won’t be held on the day. This is because Hari Raya Haji falls on Friday which means we also need to go for friday prayers. So in order not to have any interruptions, the korban was held on saturday instead.

The goats are smiling down there. Why? Coz down there, they don’t sacrifice goats. Instead they went for cows and buffalo instead.

BAAAAA~

Paddy field~

We went for house visits around the village. The people are really friendly and were very interested in knowing how we lived down here. Eventhough we do not know them, they would make us feel warm and welcome no matter where we go.

Dusk. Was really excited coz I was preparing to do some astro photography. But however the moon was on waxing gibbous. It was so bright, it casts a strong shadow on the ground in the middle of the night. So all photos now are splashed with the glare of the moonlight.

Nonetheless I took some 15 seconds shots of parts of the sky. Another blow to my plan, my Dell XPS notebook died on me before the trip. This means I could not do manual remote release and bulb mode. DARN!

Sunrise~

Next day we went to a waterfall which is somewhere… around there also. About an hour ride.

And the goat went *chomp! chomp! Chomp!* on the leaves.

*muacks~!*

Went to watch the slaughtering/korban process on my last day there. Down there, it’s usually held at sunrise. So I woke up early and drove to one of the place where they did.

To the left of the picture is where the korban will take place.

I always think that people should see how the korban takes place once in their life. I mean what we would see is the beautiful steak on your dinner plate only and not knowing what was the whole thing originally and the process. So let me post some pictures. Warning to the squeamish people, there will be blood.

So what they will do is to make the cow lie down on it’s sides by tripping it. Then after that they will tie them to the poles.

Getting ready. Once the main arteries have been severed, the great loss in blood pressure will cause the cow to lose conscious almost immediately.

Once it’s done, they began skinning.

The kid on the left is really amusing. He got shocked to see the whole thing and was stunned to see so much blood. Then when the carcass winced due to reflex action, they all screamed and ran away lol!

Sultan Abdul Halim Airport at Alor Star. It’s quite deserted.

Back at KL, Subway~!!

Checklist

Nov 23 2009

Things to bring for our operation “Balik Kampong”.

I’ll be carrying 3 bags. A camera bag, a back pack and a medium sized duffle bag (not like the one you drag from Tekong.)

Duffle bag – clothes and the all important baju kurung so that I could go to the mosque early in the morning looking Shiny and white~, toiletries like toothbrush and more importantly my hair gel.

Back pack – the backpack will consist of mostly techy stuff like my laptop and mouse. Seriously, other than driving recklessly, visiting the paddy field, visiting relatives and visiting the cows and chickens, there aren’t much things to do for a city person like us. Unless if you want to dive into a murky river water in the jungle to catch fish or playing football at the streets, there’s basically not much other things to do. Maybe I’ll install Left 4 Dead 2 along with Yuri’s Revenge so I could entertain myself. That’ll be a good idea.

Camera bag – Will consist of, you’ve guessed it, camera. Will be bringing the lumix also since my brother wants to take pictures with it. As for the 40D, I’ll be bringing the Sigma 17-70mm and the Canon 10-22mm lens which I’ve rented for the trip. Also I’ll be bringing USB cable for the 40D so I could do remote release with my laptop. This is important as I intend to do astrophotography there. Remote release would be useful as I won’t have to vibrate the camera when I press the shutter button.

Also loaned a manfrotto tripod from Audi. My previous tripod cannot make it one. It’s too flimsy to handle the combined weight of my camera and lens. Don’t want to hurry to buy a tripod and later regret on it. So best way now is to try out a few first and buy one that suits your needs. Not carrying that. Fauzi will carry. He needs to train for his NS. Heavy this tripod is!

Went to Kedah last weekend to celebrate my cousin’s and my sister’s birthday. Coincidently their birthdays are on the same day so we decided to celebrate it there.

Did some stunts there too. Went driving illegally! HAHAhA! No no, let me rephrase it nicely, preparing for my TP test.

Hello, it was tough. I drove on gravel road which was a teeth chattering, bumpy ride. Nearly hit a lizard which was at the middle of the path. Stalled like 3 times coz the clutch was uber tight and the accelerator was super sensitive. lol! But it was fun nonetheless.

My loud baby cousin! Only 8 months old!

Grumpy.

I really love this shot. Taken from a moving bus. Could’ve been better if it was stationary.

Well that’s about it much in Kedah over the weekend. Going again this hari raya Haji~! Then can korban some cows and goats. Trying out astrophotography while there coz when it’s dark, it’s superr dark and you can see the whole sky filled with star till the horizon! I could almost see the band of stars that form the galaxy. Renting some lens so I could take it there!

Sep 28 2009

Went to Macritchie Reservoir on my off day before raya. Wanted to go to the HSBC TreeTop Walk but sadly it closes at 5pm. So we waited for sunset and took pictures of the monkeys.

“Gahh, no food?!”

And it fell asleep. Literally. Can hear the *thud!* sound. loL!

THEN… last Friday I went again with Fadzly for some serious walk and photoshoot. This time we went early at 8am in the morning just to catch the morning mist and sun. We actually wanted to go to the HSBC TreeTop Walk only but we walked and ended up at Bukit Timah! Here’s how.

It may be around 4km, but it’s through uneven, rocky ground. Both of us regretted not using our boots. Our sports shoes and sneakers feels like tearing apart.

I shit you not but this is a petai tree. You know petai.. the smelly and bitter but nice seed that some people eat. I just didn’t know they could grow up to this height.

There were still people walking at the beginning of the tack. But as we get further and deeper, we feel that we are one with nature. lol!

Some parts of the forest are quite dense, only some of the sunlight could penetrate through the leaves and branches.

Finally we reached!

Basically the TreeTop walk is a suspension bridge built between 2 hills, Bukit Kalang and Bukit Pierce. At height of 25m, you’re walking among the canopy of the forest for about 250m.

It’s very narrow. About only 80cm width. This is why it’s a one way passage. You reach the other end, you must continue.

I just love this picture. The insect looks like it’s wearing a coat or something.

The man with the jungle hat.

One way trip! There are 2 ways out from this place. One is to u-turn and take the other path back to Macritchie Reservoir or continue another 7km to bukit timah. Guess which way we took?

Up the stairs.

Then down the stairs. Yes, you can’t see the end from up here.

I can’t imagine going up from this way.

At this point of time I remembered, we are right in the middle of the forest. Fadzly’s iPhone shows that we’re right in the middle of the forest in between Pierce Reservoir and Macritchie Reservoir. And then… my phone rang. It may not be anything to you here but in the forest where you can hear the cicadas screeching, trees bustling in the wind and occasional birds chirping.. then suddenly your phone rings. Got 3G network somemore! Who rang? Amin from camp asking if he could take off next thursday. How can you get lost in Singapore tell me? In forest also got 3G network.

Interesting…

Found an interesting place. Out of nowhere, there’s a clearing and a small river and right in the middle, there’s a japanese hut. SISPEC people who went for NAVEX would find this in their map. Sad we didn’t get near to the hut coz, we’re in our shoes.

We see the rekee people emerging out from nowhere.

There’s a longkang that leads to the clearing. Judging from the design, it really looks oooldd. Maybe during the World War 2 era.

We side-tracked from the main trail to walk along the longkang. There were lots of fishes growing happily there.

Modern Topography. All you need is the iPhone 3GS. You’ll never get lost anymore. lol!

Section leader in front.

Civilisation at last! We’re still like at no where and then there’s this place. Guarded by police, and incidentally, you can’t actually take picture of it. Must be something sensitive and secretive there… Also we pass by SAF’s ammunition dump and then further down, we have the School of ammunition. All at this ulu place.

Tender loving care. Tender… HAhaHa!

Finally BKE! We walked and walked and suddenly a taxi stopped beside us. The uncle offered us a free ride to the main road! Bless him. We’re quite exhausted already sia and stoopid me, didn’t bring water bottle at all. I was freakinn dehydrated already and having headache. We quickly went Macdonalds at King Albert Park for a little ice cream before heading to Al-Azhar for brunch.

Nasi Goreng Pattaya~ Was really having a splitting headache so i went home, bathed, 2 panadols and zzZZZzzZ. Woke up just in time for the F1 practice round.

So all in all, it was a great day. Actually in Singapore, there are still a handful of places where you can explore with a little more effort. Places like Seletar, Pierce and Macritchie where nature is still untouched. Just a side track, lots of people are talking about some hidden ruins of a japanese temple right at the heart of the Macritchie Reservoir. This would be an interesting outfield trip for people who are daring to go beyond the trail and into the forest.

Okay that’s about it!

Aidilfitri~

Sep 21 2009

As usual, Hari Raya Aidilfitri marks the end of the month of Ramadhan, the fasting month. Aidilfitri here in Singapore is celebrated with much fanfare to mark the successful one month of fasting (although some of us don’t.. loL!).

So in the morning, we’ll have our morning prayers at the mosque. Went to Siglap Mosque for our prayers. Fauzi says he wants to go to Masjid Sultan but sadly, he can’t wake up himself. lol~!

Also we have cakes which are made or bought from the Bazaar at Geylang. I tell you this year’s Bazaar is worst. I don’t know why but we went on the last day and it’s like madness!

See the cake on the left? That’s Kueh Lapis Sarawak. I have no idea how do they make those colourful layers. It’s so nice, it’ll be a waste to eat it.

More kuehs..

Our family’s signature kueh lapis! See how nice the layers are? Old peranakans like to say, if you can make kueh lapis with many neat and consistent layers, you are very patient and demand perfection! The kueh on the right is nice too! It’s sponge cake with Nutella~!

And as usual, first day of hari raya, our chinese relatives would come visit us first! It’s like that.. Then our malay relatives would come the next day onwards…

Auntie Angela~!

Refilling bottles…

Halooooo~!!

Pak Long, Mak Long and family~!

Skyping with Kak Nor in Melbourne…

This is one of the rare times where you’ll see my grandmother using the computer.. lol!

We miss you Kak Nor~!!

ahaha, forgot to take peektures of us in baju kurung. This year theme colour is white! That’s why we had to take it off once back from mosque so as not to dirty them. Expensive ya’kno!
